Patterns you upload are private to your account. Nobody else can see them, search them, or download them.
How patterns work here
A knitter can upload a pattern PDF to their own project, so the chart is in the same place as their row counts instead of buried in an email. That file is private to their account.
There is no library, no search, no feed, no public profile, and no sharing feature of any kind. One knitter cannot see another knitter's uploads, and neither can anyone who is not signed in. RowliPurli stores a file for the person who uploaded it and shows it back to that person. It does not distribute, publish, or make it available to anybody else.
Knitters agree, in the Terms, that they only upload patterns they have the right to upload. Most people here are storing a pattern they bought.
If it's your pattern
If you are a designer and you believe a pattern of yours is stored here without the right to do so, email us and we will act on it. You do not need a lawyer to start that conversation, and a plain email is enough to get a human reply.
What to tell us
There is no form and no particular wording. What helps us act quickly:
- The pattern — its name, and a link to where you sell it if there is one.
- Enough to identify it here. The pattern name is usually enough; we can find the file from it.
- Who you are, and that you are the designer or are authorised to act for them.
- How to reach you for a reply.
What we do when a report arrives
We remove or disable access to the file promptly. We then tell the knitter who uploaded it what was removed and why, and we pass on your report so they can respond if they think it was a mistake.
An account that repeatedly uploads patterns it has no right to will be closed.
If your file was removed by mistake
If you uploaded a pattern and it was taken down in error — you wrote it yourself, or you have the designer's permission — tell us and say so. We will look again, and restore the file if we got it wrong.
What this is, plainly
This is a process we run by hand, not a statutory one. We have not registered a copyright agent with the US Copyright Office, because doing so means publishing a physical address and RowliPurli is run from home by one person. We would rather describe what we actually do than claim a protection we have not set up.
In practice it changes little for a designer: the files here were never public, and a report still gets a file removed and a human reply.
RowliPurli's own work
The app itself — its name, its code, its design and its illustrations — belongs to Olena Nevel. Your patterns, photos and notes remain entirely yours; see the Terms for exactly what you are permitting us to do with them, which is the minimum needed to store them and show them back to you.
